Welcome to
KSCASI
 The
Karnataka State Chapter of the Association of Surgeons on
India was formed in 1982-83 under the chairmanship of Dr. A
J Narendran. The constitutions and the bylaws were drafted
at that time. During the subsequent years, the association
grew in size and the members felt the need to revise the
constitution. Accordingly, a committee was set up in 1991-92
when the present chairman Dr. K S Gopinath was the secretary
and Dr. R T Kulkarni was the Chairman.

As per the existing bylaws, there is provision for 3
orations, H. S. Bhat Oration, A.J. Narendran Oration
& M. P. Pai Oration. Guidelines for selection of
speakers are incorporated in the Constitution. These
should be followed strictly. Any member who wishes
to recommend a particular person for any of the
oration he/she should send the Bio-data along with
the recommendation letter well in advance (The
selection of speakers for the oration is done one
year in advance). The Executive Committee after
going through all the nominations will prepare the
final list. The duration of each oration will be 45
minutes (5 minutes for introduction and 40 minutes
for the oration)
